When you choose to practice self-love and prioritize your happiness, it may feel uncomfortable at first…and perhaps even selfish.
So here’s a little reminder about the difference between selfishness and self-love…
A selfish person does not consider the feelings or needs of other people. Their immediate needs are all that matter. By contrast, someone who practices self-love is aware of the needs of people around them but gives their own needs priority.
In fact, it is by loving ourselves more that we are able to give more to others. We cannot give to others what we don’t have for ourselves.
