My darling, I want you to be as happy as humanly possible. You deserve that babe! You really do.

 

The key is, knowing that you are the only one that can bring yourself lasting happiness.

 

No one can, or should be, responsible for our happiness. Just like you shouldn’t be responsible for anyone else’s happiness. That’s an unfair burden for anyone to bear.

 

Looking to others for our happiness is the surest way to end up feeling disappointed or perhaps even resentment.

 

Besides, no one really knows how to make you as happy as YOU can.

 

You just have to remember to do the things that light you up and bring YOU joy on a regular basis.

 

Maybe it’s spending time with family or friends, taking walks out in nature, going to see live music or reading a good book. Whatever it is, it will be unique to you.

 

Make your happiness a priority. Please take care of you my love.

 

Everyone else in your life will also get to reap the benefits when you are in your happy place.

 

So I hope you will do yourself this favor today…

 

Find a sticky note or small notepad. Then write down 3-5+ things you enjoy doing that can be easily done on a regular basis.

 

Title this list as your “Joy List”.

 

Place it where you spend a lot of time. It may be on or near your computer, in your car, etc. 

 

Then try to do at least one thing from your list. Every. Single. Day.
