What if you had a best-friend to sit with you any time of the day to help you work through personal struggles, to help you think through your deep thoughts and ideas, and to talk with you about your dreams and goals?
Wouldn’t that be incredibly helpful?
Well, you’re in luck! You can have this anytime you want. This is literally what it feels like for me when it comes to journaling.
For example, just a few days ago, while I was writing down thoughts about one of my goals; I got inspired with a new idea…something that had never occurred to me before.
After journaling about it, I got pumped and decided to take action on it right away.
That action opened up a new opportunity that might have never come my way had I not connected with myself through journaling.
Isn’t that cool?!
We can literally help ourselves out by taking some time to have focused dialog with ourselves. We can be our own best-friend!
Remember, we are in a relationship with ourselves, and it’s the most important relationship we’ve got.
We need to nurture that relationship by spending time connecting with ourselves (daily ideally).
If you’re new to journaling, just know that there’s no right or wrong way to journal.
What helped me when getting started was just writing whatever comes to mind. No editing yourself or over-thinking.
But do commit to writing at least 3 pages. That’s it! The rest will work itself out.
With lots of love,
Jenna
P.S. If you don’t currently have a journal and would like some inspiration, Amazon has a huge array of them in all price ranges. If you want to splurge, this one look gorgeous 😍. This one is also stunning, and doesn’t have lined pages.
