I hope you’ve been taking good care of yourself, my friend. It’s so easy to get caught up in the demands of life, constantly putting others’ needs ahead our own.

But I hope you know that your needs matter too. In fact, taking care of ourselves first is not just beneficial for us, but for everyone around us.

When our needs are met, we become the best versions of ourselves—happier, more fulfilled, and free of resentment.

This positive energy that comes from nurturing ourselves naturally radiates outward, and absolutely impacts the lives of those we care about.

When we are content and at peace, we have more to give. Our joy and well-being creates a ripple effect, lifting the spirits of those around us.

When we prioritize self-love and self-care, we set a powerful example for others to follow, showing them that it’s okay to prioritize their needs too.

Self-love is not selfish; it’s essential. It allows us to recharge, to grow, and to be the best version of ourselves.

When we love and care for ourselves, we cultivate a sense of inner strength and resilience that benefits everyone in our lives.

We can be more present, more patient, and more supportive friends, partners, family members and care givers.

So, I encourage you to take a moment and consider your own needs. What makes you feel truly happy and fulfilled? What activities bring you peace and joy?

Prioritize those things, knowing that by doing so, you are not only nurturing yourself but also enhancing the lives of those around you.

Remember, you deserve the same love and care that you so freely give to others. Embrace self-love (see Love Note #158: Self-Love Is Good For Our Mental Health) and watch how it transforms not just your life, but the lives of everyone you touch.

With lots of love,

Jenna
