I was wondering, when is the last time you patted yourself on the back?

It is so important to pat yourself on the back for your wins both big and small.

I know it may sound like a cheesy thing to do. But trust me, it feels really good.

I do it all the time…sometimes it’s a mental pat on the back.

But sometimes… it’s a LiteralPat. On. The. Back. Especially when I accomplish something that I’m super proud of.

By doing this it allows you to charge yourself up without relying on outside sources for encouragement.

Your love is your power. We power ourselves up by giving ourselves our own love and attention.

We need to consciously be powering ourselves up by inviting in our own inner cheerleader in to celebrate our small wins throughout our day so that we can rack up more of the big wins.

You responded to all the emails in your inbox today?

Awesome! Take a moment to recognize that and feel good about it.

You nailed your big presentation?

Excellent, go out and celebrate with your bestie. It builds up your self-esteem and confidence and charges up your power container.

Oh and guess what? There is a very cool side effect that happens after you start patting yourself on the back more often.

Your inner critic stops making as many appearances as it once did!

You actually retrain your brain to stop beating up on yourself and to start encouraging and building yourself up instead. Pretty cool right?

So why not give this a try today and see how it feels for yourself?

XOXO
