Have you ever felt like you’re constantly giving so much of yourself that there’s barely anything left for you?
So often, we fall into the trap of believing that our worth is tied to how much we can give to others, even to the point of practically setting ourselves on fire just to keep everyone else warm.
But the truth is, our value isn’t measured by how much we can deplete ourselves for the sake of others.
It’s easy to feel like the more we sacrifice, the more we prove our love or loyalty.
But what if the best way to show up for others is by showing up for ourselves first?
Taking care of yourself, setting boundaries, and reserving some of that warmth for yourself isn’t selfish—it’s essential.
You can’t pour from an empty cup, and you shouldn’t have to.
Your well-being matters just as much as anyone else’s, and you deserve to feel whole, balanced, and nourished.
It’s okay to step back, recharge, and give yourself the same kindness and care that you so freely offer to others.
After all, you’re not required to burn out to keep others warm; you’re allowed to thrive too.
Take care of you my friend.
XOXO
Jenna
